I was tying a parachute PMD, reached for my dry fly hackle drawer and pulled out an old Badger Saddle. I thought what a handsome color combo, I've always liked Badger but never knew what to do with it. The finished fly looked great and really buggy. I then began to wonder why badger hackle has fallen out of favor.
Does anyone know? does anyone else use it? Are there any other unique colors I should know of?

The badger is a great "unique color" it is used more than you would think.  It is also becoming harder to get.  We sell most of the badger capes and saddles within a week of recieving them.  There are also golden badger, and speckled badger.  Equally hard to get, but, they are great colors to have in your aresenal.  There are so many colors out there, under the "Unique Variant " color catagory, some of them are just mind boggling.
