We thought you'd like to meet the HMH Vises Pro Staff...

Our Pro Staffers are a very select group of extremely talented and knowledgeable fly tyers who share at least one thing in common - they all tie on and love HHM Vises.

We've known and admired these guys for a long time. They all tie on HMH Vises - some for over 30 years now. That speaks volumes about our product. And why not boast a little bit about these fly tying and fly fishing celebrities by dedicating an HMH web page to them...?

To learn more about the HMH Pro Staff members please follow this link to our HMH Pro Staff page where you'll find their complete bio and links to their web sites.

I am a new member and want some advice. I purchased a Renzettie 2000 but I am planning on taking it back to Cabella's and purchasing a HMH vise. I think I want to concentrate on larger lures. I have reviewed your web site, which is very good. Can you give me your suggestions on my purchase?

The best option would be to get a good "hands on" experience...
The Standard is a beauty... the Spartan would be wonderfully adequate...
Magnum jaws are my salt water choice and I would highly recommend, without hesitation, the bobbin rest and profile plate [for an uncluttered background]...
"C" clamp or pedestal? I use a pedestal but, if you are considering a fly tying station, a "C" clamp might be best...
Perhaps Craig or others will chime in and share their feelings...
One thing for sure, whichever way you go, you can expect years of enjoyment from this no regrets quality tool...

Pete gives good advice...

You can't go wrong with either the Spartan or Standard with the Mag jaw for large flies. You will still have a full rotary function and many tie in a true rotary fashion with the HMH Vises. Don't forget that you have forum members for support if needed as well as the HMH staff. We'll make sure you're completely satisfied with your purchase. Please also visit the HMH Web Site and our HMH Video page. There you'll find videos on how to use our products. Another video that you might find usefull is Matt's on full rotary tying on the HMH Spartan.

Hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to call if I can help further.
