Spartan got a workout this weekend

I worked a booth at Troutfest this weekend in Townsend, TN.  I was at the Casting for Recovery booth inviting folks to tie Pheasant Tails to support the next retreat.  Had a lot of folks stop by and tie, probably had 30 or so folks sit down and tie with me.  I borrowed three beginners tying kits from the local TU chapter for folks to tie on, but I brought my Spartan for myself.  I still think this is one of the best vises made.  I had a couple of tyers ask me about the vise, so I'd let them tie one on it.  At least one of them was going to ask his local shop about getting one.  Also got to tie with Walter Babb (who got me interested in tying several years ago) and had my vise borrowed by Joe Humphries so he could do a short tying demo.

Honestly, I didn't get to see what he tied - I was working the booth when they came and asked if they could use my vise.  It would have been neat to see, but I couldn't break away at the time.
